Hello,

I’m Maria Zavalza. I’m here to help you feel supported, heard, and guided through every step of your legal journey.

I know that facing a legal matter can feel overwhelming, especially when it affects your health, your work, or your family. My goal is to approach every client with care, patience, and understanding, so you never feel like you are going through the process alone.

My Story

Maria Zavalza is a San Diego-based civil litigation paralegal with over 10 years of experience in Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation law. Born and raised in San Diego, with family roots in Tecate, Baja California, Maria brings more than legal experience to her work. She brings compassion, cultural understanding, and a deep respect for the people and families she serves.

Maria’s journey into the legal field was built on dedication and perseverance. She began her career as a dental assistant while working toward her dream of entering the legal profession. With hard work and determination, she found her place in a personal injury law firm, where she quickly learned how deeply an accident, injury, or workplace matter can affect a person’s life, health, income, and family.

Over the years, Maria has gained hands-on experience in Personal Injury, Workers’ Compensation, and civil litigation cases. She understands that clients often come in during some of the most stressful and uncertain moments of their lives. That is why she approaches every case with patience, empathy, and attention to detail. For Maria, every client deserves to feel heard, respected, and supported.

Maria earned her law degree from Universidad de Estudios Avanzados in Tijuana, Baja California, graduating with honors in August 2018. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and continues to pursue her legal career, with bar admission currently in progress.

Outside of work, Maria is a devoted wife and mother to her young child. She values family, hard work, and the simple moments that keep her grounded. She enjoys traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with her horses, her dog, and her loved ones.

Maria’s story is one of persistence, growth, and heart. She brings that same commitment to every client she helps, making sure they never feel like just another case, but like a person whose story truly matters.
